Honoring Strength and Courage

Over the weekend Elite 9 Academy participated in the Allen “Pink the Park” tournament. Before the games began, teams gathered to recognize the incredible strength of those affected by breast cancer. Survivors were celebrated, names were remembered, and hearts were united. It was a reminder that behind every pink ribbon is a story — one of courage, hope, and perseverance.

We had the pleasure of honoring our very own Mrs. Gigi Van Laan who threw the first pitch to her granddaughter Penny. At the end of the day, the scores fade, but the message stays strong — we play for those who can’t. We play to support, to remember, and to inspire. This tournament wasn’t just about softball; it was about community, compassion, and coming together for a cause that touches so many lives.

We Played For: Antoinette Carr, Anne Gore, Lorri Harrison,Gigi Van Laan, Trudy Lee, Linda Lynch, Donna Sharples, Sherry Shows
